Hi I'm Emily...

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Emily, I am 23 years old, and I live in Auckland, New Zealand.

At 19, I embarked on one of the biggest adventures of my life, spending 13 months living in Georgia, United States. That experience deepened my love for travel, different cultures, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Since returning home, I have dreamed of moving to Ireland and hope to make that dream a reality before the end of next year. While a number of setbacks, including health challenges, have altered my timeline, they have never changed my desire to explore the world.

I hold a degree in Travel and Tourism, and before becoming unwell, I worked as a travel consultant—a role I genuinely loved. Helping others create unforgettable experiences combined two of my greatest passions: travel and connecting with people.

Outside of my career, I enjoy a variety of hobbies that keep me active, creative, and grounded. One of the most important is netball, where I play competitively for my local community club in the GK and WD positions. Earning a place in the starting seven is an achievement I am particularly proud of, as it reflects the commitment, perseverance, and hard work I have dedicated to continually developing my skills and contributing to my team.

I also have a passion for cooking and baking. Whether it's preparing a comforting chilli con carne or baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies, I find joy in creating food that brings people together.

More recently, I have discovered a love for junk journaling. It has become a creative outlet that allows me to express myself, experiment with new ideas, and find moments of calm. In many ways, it has taught me the value of slowing down, embracing creativity, and appreciating the small things.

When I look back on everything I've experienced so far—from living overseas and pursuing a career in travel to discovering new passions and navigating life's ups and downs—I'm reminded that every chapter has a story worth telling. This is just a small glimpse into mine.
